The UPF in 94th place in the international classification of The Times of India

[05/03/13]

The Pompeu Fabra University is in 94th place in the international classification and 31st in Europe in the Youth Incorporated magazine and The Times of India’s educational supplement Education Times universities ranking.

Another Spanish university, IE University, also appears, in 29th place in the world and sixth in Europe. The first places of the global ranking are occupied, in this order, by the American universities Harvard, Stanford, Pennsylvania, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The first European university is the University of Oxford in fifth position.  The American universities Chicago, Yale, Columbia, Princeton and Cornell are positioned in sixth to tenth place, in that order.

Latest ranking
The latest classification by Youth Incorporated is based on a study carried out in over 1,000 educational centres from 50 countries and was prepared with the assessment of students and lecturers who analysed the most important factors in university education, such as training, employability and job opportunities after graduating, diversity of students and lecturers, innovation, international exchanges, student satisfaction, campus facilities and financial aid, among others.

The assessment of the centres and their students is contrasted with opinions of over 6,500 international recruiters on the centres from which they plan to select their employees in the future.
